General Motors Co.’s GMC brand Wednesday said the 2016 Sierra Elevation edition will receive new front-end styling and a radio that integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.

The sporty double-cab truck, slated to be shown Thursday at the State Fair of Texas media event, has special features such as body-color door handles, bumpers and grille surround, new Elevation badging and black-painted 20-inch aluminum wheels. It goes on sale in the first quarter of 2016. Pricing has not been announced, but is expected to be about $35,000.

The Sierra Elevation was a new model in 2015; it represents about 15 percent of double cab sales. The Sierra Elevation edition is available in two- or four-wheel drive and comes standard with a 4.3-liter V-6 engine. A V-8 engine is optional.

GM redesigned the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 for the 2016 model year.
