Cadillac names Weller to lead European operations
General Motors Co.’s Cadillac brand said Monday it has named Felix Weller to serve as vice president of Europe.
Weller, managing director of Cadillac Middle East, will begin his new role Sept. 1 and report to Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen. Weller, who is responsible for sales, marketing, customer experience and dealer network for Cadillac in Europe, takes the place of Andreas Schaaf, who recently took over a new role as vice president of Cadillac in China.
“Felix has a deep understanding of the Cadillac business and the luxury market as he’s demonstrated while leading our Middle East organization,” de Nysschen said in a statement. “I look forward to having him on Cadillac’s global executive team and partnering with him as we continue to grow the European business.”
Weller started at GM in 2014, serving as a regional director of sales and marketing for Cadillac in the Middle East. He previously served in sales, strategy and dealer positions for Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
Through May, Cadillac global sales are down 4.7 percent to 103,383 vehicles.
