General Motors Co. has opened a company store in its headquarters in the Renaissance Center in Detroit.

Steve Stanford, Trademark Licensing Manager Global Sales & Marketing Support, talks about the merchandise, including die-cast cars, hats, watches and T-shirts available at the new GM Company Store at the Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan on November 17, 2016.

The GM Company Store opened Thursday on Level 1 in the GM Wintergarden and is part of a large renovation project to public spaces at the RenCen. The store will offer merchandise from the Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac brands.

GM announced earlier this year that it would renovate sections of its headquarters. The renovation includes a planned angular glass-walled addition with LED screen facing Jefferson Avenue. Inside the RenCen, changes will include exhibits highlighting innovation, technology and design across its brands.

“We are excited to be able to bring the stories of our brands and our company to life by elevating the experience in our world headquarters for our employees and the public,” Tim Mahoney, chief marketing officer of global Chevrolet and leader of global marketing operations, said in a statement. “The new GM Company Store allows us to offer merchandise from each of our U.S. brands celebrating our most iconic nameplates.”

Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with some weekend hours occasionally. Details can be found at gmcompanystore.com.
