Macomb Mall announced several upcoming restaurant and retail openings as the 50-year-old Roseville institution continues major renovations under the direction of Lormax Stern Development Co.

Cosmetics retailer ULTA Beauty opened its nearly 10,000-square-foot store on Friday with the grand opening celebration taking place Friday-Sunday. The following week, rue21 will make its debut, delivering affordable fashion trends to shoppers.

Visionworks eye care center will open the doors to its new 2,600-square-foot store later in the summer.

The fall will bring a remodeled Bath & Body Works, a new 3,000-square-foot White Barn Candle Co. and Swedish clothing retailer H&M. In addition, 1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria has signed a lease to open its first Michigan restaurant on the mall property.

Massage Green Spa signed a lease to go in the newly constructed building next to 1000 Degrees Pizzeria and AT&T will join Chipotle and Potbelly Sandwich shop in the outbuilding located by Gratiot. Carvel, a purveyor of ice cream treats, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, and national jeweler Zales also have signed leases with Macomb Mall. Work on the retailers is expected to begin in the coming weeks.

Longtime tenant The Pretzel Peddler will be renovating and relocating from a kiosk to a wall kiosk unit in the Dick’s Sporting Goods court. Another longtime tenant, Piercing Pagoda, has begun renovation of its kiosk and will be relocating near Kay Jewelers. Charley’s Grilled Subs is relocating from its current home on the west side of the mall to a new contemporary space at the mall entrance near Sears. Pretty Things, a collection of fresh boutique women’s clothing, jewelry and accessories, has begun construction of its new home in the Sears Court. The retailer had previously been located in the Kohl’s Court.

The renovations are part of the mall’s first major project in 20 years.
