1. River Days at Detroit Riverfront
This annual summer kick-off celebration includes water-centric activities, including boat tours, sand sculptures and jet ski demonstrations. New attractions this year include zip lines and a Tuskegee air show. 2. Motor City Irish Fest at Western Graham Field

3. Loni Love at Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel
Detroit-born comedian Loni Love brings her outspoken brand of observational humor to the stage of the Sound Board this weekend. In addition to performing stand-up, Love is a co-host on the syndicated talk show “The Real” and has appeared on “I Love the 2000s” on VH1 and in the film “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.” She’s also is author of the comedy advice book “Love Him or Leave Him but Don’t Get Stuck with the Tab,” published in 2013. 8 tonight. $20-$25. 2901 Grand River, Detroit.
