The show is hosted by actor Kal Penn.

Steve Harvey likely to return as Miss Universe host

In spite of announcing the wrong woman as Miss Universe on Sunday evening, Steve Harvey will likely return as the host next year. Entertainment Tonight says the comedian has a multiyear contract to host the beauty pageant. WME/IMG is the media agency that purchased the Miss Universe organization from Donald Trump this year and also represents Harvey. In an interview with the Jim Rome Show, WME/IMG’s chief content officer Mark Shapiro says he would “absolutely” have Steve Harvey return as host of the Miss Universe telecast.

Travis Scott pleaded guilty in Lollapalooza stampede

This summer, rapper Travis Scott encouraged his fans to climb over security barricades just minutes into his set at Chicago’s Lollapalooza. The melee caused one 15-year-old girl to be trampled, but no one died. This week Scott (real name Jacques Webster) pleaded guilty to charges of reckless conduct, and a judge ordered him to remain under court supervision for a year. He’s scheduled to open for Rihanna on the North American leg of her world tour, which starts in California in February.

Chris Martin sued by photog

Celebrity photographer Richard Terry is suing Coldplay singer Chris Martin for an incident that happened in January, TMZ reports. Terry was photographing Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow getting into a Jeep and Martin, Terry claims, intentionally turned his wheel sharply causing the vehicle to hit Terry. The photog’s suit claims that the musician has “a significant history of repeated and ongoing violent acts against entertainment news people.” Years ago, Martin scrapped with photographer as he was exiting a hospital with Paltrow.
