CNN anchor Poppy Harlow briefly fainted while reporting live on the air Monday. The camera wasn’t on Harlow at the time, but on a graphic showing a poll on how Americans felt the war on terror was going (only 25 percent were “satisfied”). She slurred her words a bit and then went silent. The network cut to commercial and Harlow appeared on camera when she returned explaining that she “passed out.” “I am fine,” she said and thanked people on Twitter who asked if she was okay. Harlow is pregnant, and due this spring.
Easybeats singer Stevie Wright dead
One of Australia’s first international pop stars Stephen “Stevie” Wright died on Saturday. The England-born musician was the lead singer for the band the Easybeats and also had a solo career. He was 68.
Guy Fieri wants to close his Johnny Garlic’s restaurants
Diner aficionado Guy Fieri filed a petition with the state of California to shutter the seven remaining locations of his Johnny Garlic’s restaurants. His business partner, Steve Gruber, however, wants to continue and is suing Fieri. Gruber also filed to stop the dissolution of the restaurants so he could exercise his right to purchase Fieri’s shares and continue. The California-based chain serves items like “shut the front door shrimp scampi,” “motley que cherry bbq ribs” and a s’mores pizza.
Sri Lanka president says concert promoters should be whipped
Fans of pop singer Enrique Iglesias removed their bras and rushed the stage to try to kiss him at his recent concert in Sri Lanka. According to news reports, the president of Sri Lanka, Maithripala Sirisena, is not happy that women were behaving that way in his country. He called the women “uncivilized” and said the show’s organizers should be whipped with “toxic stingray tails.” TMZ reports that the show’s producer, Live Events, apologized Monday for the breach of security.

In the juiciest bit of frivolous celebrity news, it’s been revealed Gwen Stefani is among the 200-something people that Miranda Lambert is following on Twitter. Stefani is dating her “Voice” co-star Blake Shelton, Lambert’s ex-husband. This may make it seem like Lambert is keeping tabs on her ex’s new sweetie, but maybe she’s just casually curious. After all, Lambert did just start dating Nashville singer Anderson East last month, according to Us Weekly. So far, no follow back from Stefani.
