More acts announced for Grand Rapids LaughFest
A YouTube sensation, “The Daily Show” correspondent and Emmy Award winner are all part of the latest wave of performers announced for the 2016 Gilda’s LaughFest in the Grand Rapids area.
Taking place March 10-20, the multi-venue festival is the largest comedy event in the state.
Miranda Sings, who has more than 60 million views on YouTube, will bring her silly one-woman show to the Fountain Street Church on March 19. Hasan Minhaj from “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” appears during the festival at the Wealthy Theater March 11. On March 18, “Last Comic Standing” contestant Michael Palascak will bring his act to the Grand Volute.
Most notably, stand-up veteran and comedy actor David Cross performs at the Fountain Street Church on March 18. (Cross also comes to the Royal Oak Music Theatre on Feb. 14.)
Previously announced acts for LaughFest include Seth Meyers, Kathy Griffin, Ron Funches, Anjelah Johnson, Roy Wood Jr., Chris D’Elia, Bert Kreischer and Heather McDonald.
Gilda’s LaughFest has more than 200 free and ticketed events in all, and spans 40 venues in Grand Rapids and Lowell.
Tickets for individual shows, $7-$80, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.
