As a growing number of artists and celebrities are weighing in on Flint’s water crisis on social media, warring rappers 50 Cent and Meek Mill have managed to turn the issue into a personal matter.

On Instagram, Meek Mill said he was donating $50,000 to Flint for water, and he challenged 50 Cent to do the same. In a since-deleted post in its original form, 50 replied, “I’ll find out what are the right organizations to donate to. It’s a tax right off anyway,” and then went into attack mode on Meek, who is engaged to marry rapper Nicki Minaj. “You don’t have money to give away,” he shot at Meek. “When Nikki find out you playing with her money boy, oh boy your in for it.”

Neither rapper’s donations have been confirmed, though Meek later posted on Instagram, underneath a picture of the word Flint with a hashtag in front of it, “My money is in and my job done.”

For his part, 50 Cent is due in Toledo on Friday. A proposed concert with 50 Cent’s G-Unit and Detroit rappers D12, set for Saturday at the Crofoot in Pontiac, has been postponed, and no make-up date has been announced.
