Fast-casual sandwich chain Capriotti’s is opening its first Michigan location and you could win free sandwiches for a year if you plan ahead.

Known for roasted pulled turkey subs, Capriotti’s will open at 319 E. Big Beaver in Troy on Feb. 22. The chain’s signature sandwich, The Bobbie, has oven-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo.

Five days later, at a grand opening celebration, the first 100 people in line by 10:30 a.m. will be able to get a free nine-inch Bobbie sub, once a week, for a year.

The Las Vegas-based chain has shops in 17 states. Besides the Bobbie – which is named after the founders aunt – another popular sub is the Cole Turkey, with provolone cheese, Russian dressing, coleslaw, and mayonnaise. There’s a soy vegetarian version, also.

Capriotti’s was founded in Delaware in 1976 by Lois and Alan Margolet and began franchising in 1991.
