Brewing facility to open in Clinton Township

Longstanding craft brewery Kuhnhenn Brewing Co. in Warren has finalized plans for its new brewing facility and taproom.

The new Kuhnhenn Brewing Co. at 36000 Groesbeck in Clinton Township is scheduled to open at 11 a.m. Feb. 29. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 4:30 p.m. March 2.

The 45,000-square-foot production house is in a former home and garden center. It will serve house-made craft beverages including beer, wine, mead and spirits, plus a small menu of cheese and meat boards and small plates.

Hours will be 11 a.m.-midnight Mon.-Thurs., 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Fri.-Sat. and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sun.

The original Kuhnhenn Brewing Co. at 5919 Chicago Road in Warren will remain open and will continue to produce small batch beers. For the time being Kuhnhenn will continue to produce products to be served only on draft.
