1. Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix

Saturday’s musical highlight is a 6 p.m. set by Detroit rock band the Romantics. Between races on Sunday, hear Morris Day & the Time at 12:30 p.m. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday. $25 and up. Belle Isle Park, Detroit.

2. Ferndale Pride in Downtown Ferndale

There are many events surrounding this LGBT celebration like the Rainbow Run 5K on Sunday morning, and the “Hot Daddies” contest Friday night at Soho, but the main event is 1-10 p.m. Saturday in downtown Ferndale with arts and crafts, DJs, free HIV testing, food, dancing, live entertainment and more. 3. Dixie Chicks with Augustana at DTE Energy Music Theatre

Country music’s best-selling group, the Dixie Chicks, are back with their first headlining tour in a decade. The trio is expected to perform re-worked Dixie Chicks songs and covers by Patty Griffin, Prince, Bob Dylan and others. 7 p.m. Sat. $39.50 lawn, $73.50-$146 pavilion. 7774 Sashabaw, Clarkston.
