1. GM River Days at Detroit RiverWalk
River Days — the annual riverfront festival leading up to Monday’s fireworks display — includes concerts, food, water-centric activities, boat tours and other family-friendly fun. 2. Great Lakes Food, Art and Music Festival at Ford Field Park
Hear local rock bands Howling Diablos, the HandGrenades, Cure cover band Re-Cure and more Saturday afternoon and the Reeferman and Dan Tillery (a Waterford man who was recently in the news after his “smiling dog” photo went viral) will perform Sunday.
