A Detroit native and music superstar, Ms. Ross was given a Kennedy Center Honors in 2007 and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. 2. Arab and Chaldean Festival at Hart Plaza

Hear music from Omar Jarbo, Hussam Al-Rassam, Emad Batayeh and others, plus children’s activities, henna tattoos and a fashion show at 8 p.m. Sunday. 3. Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas at The Palace of Auburn Hills
