1. Stevie Nicks at The Palace of Auburn Hills
Expect to hear songs from throughout Nicks’ career at this show, part of the “24 Karat Gold” tour named after her 2014 album, which debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. 2. ‘The Nutcracker’ at Detroit Opera House
The BalletMet Columbus and the Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra performs this holiday classic featuring 100 dancers frolicking to Tchaikovsky’s score. Matinee performances include photos with Santa and the Nutcrackers, holiday crafts, a sugar plum parade and live reindeer. 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. $29 and up. 1526 Broadway, Detroit. 3. West Park Winter Social in Grosse Pointe Park
This free tree-lighting event includes a children’s show from Americana group the Hummingbirds, plus sets by Black Jake & the Carnies, Third Coast Kings and The Accidentals. The party also has heated tents, food trucks, craft beer and cocktails. All ages welcome. 4-10 p.m Saturday. Free.
