1. Noel Night in Midtown

The 44th annual Noel Night is a celebration of the holidays throughout 100 venues in the Midtown area, including open houses at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History and the Detroit Public Library. Hop on a horse-drawn carriage, shop, check out live performances or join in on the community sing-along on Woodward with the Salvation Army Band. 5-10 p.m. Sat. Midtown Detroit. 2. Ben Folds at Orchestra Hall at the Max

Pop/rock singer, songwriter and pianist Ben Folds teams up with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for a concert that includes his pop hits and a movement from his piano concerto. 3. Will Downing’s Soulful Sounds of Christmas featuring Najee at Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel
