Katoi chef will pop into Selden Standard’s kitchen
After popular Corktown restaurant Katoi was severely damaged in a fire last week, the local restaurant community stepped up and raised more than $10,000 for the displaced employees in just a few days.
Now, Selden Standard is opening its kitchen to Katoi chef Brad Greenhill on March 8. He’ll team up with Selden Standard chef Andy Hollyday to prepare a four-course Thai-inspired meal with a dessert from Selden’s pastry chef Lena Sareini.
All proceeds will benefit Katoi’s workstaff, who are displaced while the restaurant rebuilds. Several restaurant owners and chefs across Metro Detroit have also offered to hire Katoi’s in-demand staff.
Tickets are $100 and include beverage pairings and are available at only at universe.com/katoiselden. There are seatings at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. March 8.
