Motor City Comic Con 2018 at Suburban Collection Showplace: Along with comic artists, characters and great people-watching, this annual pop culture explosion gives fans the opportunities to get autographs and photos with a variety of celebrities. Some of this year's most popular guests include Val Kilmer, Jason Patric and Lucy Lawless. "Superman" star Margot Kidder was scheduled to appear, but she died unexpectedly Sunday. "Star Wars and the Power of the Costume" at Detroit Institute of Arts: Dozens of costumes and sketches from the first seven “Star Wars” films are part of this exhibition, including wardrobes of Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Queen Amidala, Chewbacca, Han Solo and various droids, including C-3PO and R2-D2.
