Guess co-founder Paul Marciano is out
Following allegations of sexual harassment and the investigation that followed, Guess co-founder Paul Marciano has resigned as executive chairman this week. Guess said Marciano reached settlements with five people, totaling $500,000. Supermodel and Michigan native Kate Upton publicly accused Marciano of harassment and unwanted advancement in February, but it’s not clear if she’s one of the individuals with whom a settlement was made. Fortune reports that investigators reviewed around 1.5 million pages of documents and interviewed more than 40 people. “Many of the allegations could not be corroborated,” officials representing the brand and retailer said in its filing, adding “on certain occasions, Paul Marciano exercised poor judgment in his communications with models and photographers.”
Kesha: Dr. Luke also raped Katy Perry
Kesha said her former collaborator and alleged abuser Dr. Luke also raped fellow pop star Katy Perry. This new claim was unveiled when media outlets obtained court documents filed in New York. The documents accuse Kesha of telling Lady Gaga via text message that Dr. Luke (real name Lukas Gottwald) raped both her and Katy Perry. The docs are part of an ongoing defamation case between Kesha and Luke.
