Aaliyah's MAC Cosmetics line released this week

MAC Cosmetics will release a line of makeup this week that pays homage to late R&B star Aaliyah. "Powered by '90s glam," the limited-edition collection includes lipstick, pencils and eye color palette. The makeup is available online Wednesday and in stores Thursday. According to a Twitter account for the collection, the first 100 people at MAC stores will get a free Aaliyah poster with the purchase of an item from the collection. Aaliyah, who was born in New York but raised in Detroit, died in a plane crash in the Bahamas 2001 at age 22. According to Billboard, she is one of the most successful female R&B artists of the last 25 years.

Family member says Heather Locklear threatened suicide

Actress Heather Locklear has been hospitalized after a family member claims the star threatened to shoot herself. TMZ reports that her parents came to her house Sunday night after she was upset. Locklear got violent and attacked her parents. According to TMZ, her mother called 911 and reported her concern for her daughter. TMZ released dispatch audio, on which a caller claims Locklear was looking for a gun to shoot herself. Locklear, 56, was arrested in February for felony domestic violence against her boyfriend.

'Roseanne' spin off chugs along

The idea of an ABC spinoff of "Roseanne" is still alive. The Hollywood Reporter says negotiations have moved into a new phase since the show's controversial star Roseanne Barr has agreed to walk away from her character, giving the cast and crew freedom to pursue spinoff opportunities. (The reboot of the show was canceled after Barr sent out racist tweets.) The spinoff is expected to revolve around Sara Gilbert's character Darlene, and according to reports, co-stars John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf are also on board.
