Actor Terry Crews testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday, saying he was threatened with retaliation for speaking out about being groped by Hollywood agent Adam Venit. Crews said "Expendables" producer Avi Lerner called him and asked Crews to drop his civil case against Venit in order to appear in the film. Crews was one of there people asked to testify at the hearing, which was about the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Bill of Rights. It would provide new rights for victims of sexual violence in the federal criminal code. “Hollywood definitely has been a problem area, simply because so many people view this as a dream. And what happens is, someone has power over these dreams,” said Crews, 49. “And what happens also is that you get tricked into thinking that this type of behavior is expected, that it’s part of the job, that this harassment, abuse, even rape is part of your job description.” He added that had he gone to law enforcement with his allegations he would have been "laughed out of the police station."
