MOD Pizza teams up with Jed Foundation: All 11 of Michigan’s MOD Pizza locations have debuted a pizza named after a young customer who died by suicide last year. The Isaac is an olive oil base tipped with garlic, ricotta cheese, red onion, roasted red tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette and fresh basil. The pizzeria has teamed up with the Jed Foundation, a nonprofit that shines a light on suicide and mental health issues in teens and young adults. The Isaac is available through Oct. 1. National Tequila Day: Raise a glass Tuesday to the spirit of tequila. Giordano’s Pizza (1224 Randolph, Detroit) will give customers $2 off any tequila drink of their choice. Nearby, the beer garden in Cadillac Square will have frozen margs for $8.
