Giant statue of Jeff Goldblum appears in London

Remember that scene in “Jurassic Park” when Jeff Goldblum’s character laid reclining, propped on one arm with his shirt open? OK, maybe you don’t, but the internet certainly hasn't forgotten, and this meme-worthy pose has turned up in front of London’s Tower Bridge in the form of a 25-foot statue. The 331-pound attraction is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film.

Seymour Stein leaves Warner Music, Sire Records

Music industry honcho Seymour Stein has announced he'll leave Warner Music and Sire Records. Stein co-founded Sire in 1967 as an independent label that joined forces with WMG a few years later. He says he wants to return to his “indie roots.” “I long for my indie roots and the greater independence that I experienced back in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s,” he said in a statement. “So the time has come to move on to the next phase of my career, leaving Sire in the hands of Rani Hancock, whom I sincerely wish all the luck in the world." Madonna, the Ramones, the Smiths, Ice-T, Depche Mode, Cyndi Lauper and the Cure are just some of the acts Stein had under his wing on Sire records throughout the past several decades.

David Spade: We’re doing as good as we can

Actor and comedian David Spade spoke on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday about his sister-in-law, Kate Spade, who died by suicide last month. “It’s been very tough, obviously,” he said. “It is very sweet that everyone came out of the woodwork, that she made an impact.” He said people in his life would dress differently if they knew they were going to see Kate. “They would bring their A-game. It was very sweet,” he said. “They would be like ‘Is Katie coming? Is Katie going to be there?’ And if (so), it was a whole new wardrobe.” Page Six reports that Spade had previously honored Kate with a $100,000 contribution to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
