Beyoncé given full control of September Vogue issue 

Beyoncé would not only be on the cover of the September issue of Vogue magazine, but is reported to have been given unprecedented control over the cover, the photos of her inside and the captions, which the singer wrote herself, Huffington Post reports. This is a unique move as Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour usually has complete control over the entire issue. Beyoncé has reportedly hired a black photographer to shoot the cover, the first time this has happened in the magazine's 126-year history. HuffPo also reported that adult film actress Stormy Daniels is expected to be featured in the September or October issue after being shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

‘M.A.S.H.’ star Alan Alda reveals he has Parkinson’s

Appearing Tuesday on “CBS This Morning,” actor Alan Alda said he was diagnosed with the neurodegenerative disorder Parkinson's three and a half years ago. Alda says he expects a tabloid will soon publish a story about his diagnosis. The former "M.A.S.H." star, 82, said revealing his diagnosis may be helpful to others. Alda played a senator who ran for president on “The West Wing” and he also hosted “Scientific American Frontiers” on PBS.

Courtney Love and more to join Smashing Pumpkins for 30th

For the Smashing Pumpkins' 30th anniversary show Thursday at the PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey, the alternative rock group will be joined by some special guests. Courtney Love, Peter Hook, Mark McGrath, Deftones singer Chino Moreno, AFI front man Davey Havok and Dave Keuning and Mark Stoermer of the Killers are scheduled to appear on stage. The Smashing Pumpkins hit Little Caesars Arena on Sunday. 

New band for Laura Jane Grace

Against Me front woman Laura Jane Grace has announced a tour and album for her new band Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers. The band's debut album will be released on Bloodshot Records, and an upcoming fall tour brings the group to the Shelter in Detroit on Nov. 5 and Mac's Bar in Lansing on Nov. 4.
