Grapevine: Jolie said Pitt's payments have not been 'meaningful,' his lawyer said he's paid $9 million

Brad and Angelina's legal teams are battling

In a new court filing in California, Brad Pitt's lawyer slams a filing from Angelina Jolie as "unnecessary" and describes it as a "thinly-veiled effort to manipulate media coverage." The filing from Jolie claims that Pitt has not been paying "meaningful" child support to their six children since their separation. Pitt's lawyer, however, said the actor has loaned Jolie $8 million for a house and has contributed $1.3 million toward bills. 

Stormy Daniels ordered to pay child support

In other celebrity custody news, adult film actress Stormy Daniels has been ordered to pay $1,000 per month in child support to her estranged husband Glendon Crain, who is also in the pornography business. TMZ reports that she also has to pay the mortgage, boarding expenses for their horses, the payments on their two high-end cars and other bills. The rub is that, according to TMZ, Crain gets exclusive access to the house while the divorce is begin settled. 

Actor Yara Shahidi chats about Eighteen x 18 initiative 

"Blackish" star Yara Shahidi graced the cover of the Hollywood Reporter this week in an interview talking about her new initiative, Eighteen x 18, which is aimed at registering and informing other teens about the midterm election. The article outlines the Harvard-bound star's recent achievements, including her starring role in the "Blackish" spin-off "Grown-ish." Shahidi told the outlet that she plans to study sociology and African-American studies and sees a future for herself that is "policy adjacent." For Eighteen x 18, Shahidi has partnered with civil rights activist Michael Skolnik, who said "if Yara wants to be president one day, she will be."
