2. "Redemption of a Dogg" at Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts: Rapper Snoop Dogg stars in this Je’Caryous Johnson stage play that also features Tamar Braxton, Omar Gooding, Demetria McKinney, Eric Benet, Latoya London and Lil JJ. 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday. $59.50 and up. 350 Madison, Detroit. ticketmaster.com. 

3. MC50 at Fillmore Detroit: Wayne Kramer of legendary Michigan punk rock band the MC5 has embarked on a tour to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary. He’s joined by Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil, Dug Pinnick of King’s X, Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty and Marcus Durant of Zen Guerrila. The domestic leg of the tour ends with three shows in Detroit. (The band played Friday at Saint Andrew's Hall and a Tuesday night show at Third Man Records is sold out.) 7:30 p.m. Saturday. $24.75 and up. Fillmore Detroit, 2115 Woodward, Detroit.
