New Order Coffee wins awards: Midtown’s New Order Coffee took home three prizes at the Golden Bean North America Competition, including a silver medal in the espresso category and bronze medals in the milk-based and filter categories. New Order is at 3100 Woodward in Detroit.

Detroit Barbers open coffee shop: A cafe with locally roasted coffee and other “craft beverages” has opened inside Detroit Barbers at 2000 Michigan in Corktown. It’s called Lucky Detroit and it’s on the upper level.
