'Price is Right' looking for contestants in Detroit Wednesday
Game show fans in Metro Detroit can get a chance to audition for "The Price is Right" next week at the Greektown Casino Hotel.
The long-running game show is looking for two people from the area to be flown to Los Angeles for a taping of the show. They will have a one-in-two chance to be called to Contestants' Row to play the game.
The auditions are noon-4 p.m. Sept. 11 in fifth floor ballroom of the hotel at 555 E. Lafayette in Detroit. Hopefuls must be 18 or older, and bring with them a valid photo ID and an application, which can be downloaded at detroit.cbslocal.com.
There will be free parking in the Greektown Casino Hotel parking structure starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday for those auditioning.
"The Price is Right" game show first aired on TV in 1956. Comedian Drew Carey has hosted since 2007. It airs locally on channel 62 at 11 a.m. weekdays.
