Big 3: Top events in Metro Detroit Saturday and Sunday

1. DIY Street Fair and Funky Ferndale Art Fair: Two eclectic street fairs will take over Nine Mile on either side of Woodward. DIY is known for handmade vendors and live music. Tonight's headliner is venerable Detroit garage rock trio the Gories, and Celtic punk group Stone Clover headline on Sunday. 2. Parktoberfest at Beacon Park: Get into the fall spirit with this two-day, outdoor Oktoberfest celebration. Besides loads of craft beer from Griffin Claw Brewing Company, there will be live music, food trucks, a stein-hoisting contest and other games, plus fun for little ones. Noon Sat.-Sun. 3. Hitsville Honors at Orchestra Hall at the Max: Part of the Motown 60 celebration, this gala will be a tribute to the label and will honor Berry Gordy Jr., who is expected to be in attendance.
