They can choose among 10 entrees from their special menu, including a 6-ounce sirloin and two sides, plus a soft drink. Street Beet starts crowd-funding campaign: Detroit’s favorite vegan pop-up chefs Nina Paletta and Meghan Shaw have launched a crowd-funding campaign to try to raise enough money to open their own brick-and-mortar restaurant. Their vegan fast-food concept has packed bars around Detroit on a pop-up basis, and they’re currently operating out of Third Street Saloon (4626 Third in Detroit) weekends into December.
