Fresh crops from local growers continue to come in to the more than 50 farmers markets in southeast Michigan:
Vegetables in season: Beans, beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, corn, greens, eggplant, lettuce, mushrooms, onions, parsnips, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, rutabagas, spinach, summer squash, tomatoes, turnips and winter squash
Local fruits in season: Apples, blueberries, cantaloupe, grapes, melons, nectarines, peaches, pears, plums and red raspberries
Past the prime Michigan season: Apricots, asparagus, blackberries, blueberries, cherries, cucumbers, nectarines, rhubarb, strawberries
