The season is winding down, but local growers continue to come in to farmers markets in southeast Michigan.
Vegetables in season: Beets, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, greens, eggplant, lettuce, mushrooms, parsnips, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, rutabagas, spinach, summer squash, tomatoes, turnips and winter squash
Local fruits in season: Apples, grapes, melons, pears
Past the prime Michigan season: Apricots, asparagus, beans, blackberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, cherries, corn, cucumbers, green onions, nectarines, peaches, plums, raspberries, rhubarb, strawberries
