Donnie Wahlberg to visit Wahlburgers in Taylor, Detroit

Actor and singer Donnie Wahlberg plans to visit the Wahlburgers restaurants in Taylor and Detroit Thursday.

According to a media alert from the city of Taylor, the New Kids on the Block member will visit the Taylor location, 21200 Penn, at 3 p.m. followed by the Greektown restaurant, 569 Monroe, at 5 p.m.

“We just welcomed Mark Wahlberg to our community, and we look forward to meeting Donnie,” said Taylor Mayor Rick Sollars in a press release. “My family has been at the new Wahlburgers’ location several times, and we’re really impressed. We’d like to have a crowd out there tomorrow to welcome Donnie to town.”

In addition to performing with NKOTB and running the Wahlburgers empire with his brothers Mark Wahlberg and Paul Wahlberg, Donnie is also a cast member on CBS’ “Blue Bloods.” He also produces and stars in “Wahlbugers,” a reality show that is based around the restaurant business on A&E.

Mark Wahlberg visited the Taylor location last week to attend a VIP event at the restaurant.
