32 Degrees opened this week at MGM Grand Detroit with six varieties of frozen drinks.

MGM Grand Detroit is bringing a little Las Vegas kitsch to Motown with the debut of 32 Degrees, a new bar serving giant frozen drinks inside the casino.

The daiquiri bar pours six flavors: piñata colada, strawburst, el mariachi margarita, bombsicle orange cream, Honolulu blue and rosé frozé. 32 Degrees, which was unveiled this week, also serves a selection of craft and domestic beer and other drinks.

The frozen drinks are served in 12 or 20 ounce cups ($7-$9) and in a 20 ounce souvenir cup ($12). There are also tall, refillable souvenir cups in 20 and 32 ounce sizes ($15-$18, $12-$16 for refills). Get a longer pour of booze for $2 upcharge to any drink.

Located off the gaming floor, the new bar has bar stool and table seating and some bar top games. This concept stemmed from MGM's Las Vegas property. It's open 11 a.m.-2 a.m. daily and located near the self-parking entrance inside the casino.

MGM Grand Detroit is at 1777 Third in Detroit. Visit mgmgranddetroit.com or call (877) 888-2121.
