Axle Brewing Co. will release their buzz-worthy Very Stable Genius beer Thursday at their Ferndale tap room.

Axle Brewing Co. will release Very Stable Genius beer Thursday.

Inspired by a tweet from President Donald Trump, the beer is an imperial wheat with 8.5 percent alcohol by volume. Axle will sell it for $6 for a 13 ounce pour. Take home a crowler (a big can) for $11.75.

Proceeds from the golden-hued brew will benefit Ferndale Radio (100.7 FM) which broadcasts out of the Rust Belt Market at Nine Mile and Woodward. The donation will help fund the design of their nonprofit station's new studio space at the market. The new space will be created by Patrick Thompson Design and will be constructed by Long White Beard furniture shop incorporating reclaimed wood donated by Live Edge Detroit. Construction is set to start in February.

The 100-watt station plays music from local artists and supports and serves the Ferndale community.

Very Stable Genius will also be tapped at the bar inside Rust Belt on Friday. All proceeds from these sales will benefit the station as well as $1 per glass sold at Livernois Tap throughout the beer's run.

Livernois Tap is at 567 Livernois in Ferndale. Visit axlebrewing.com for more information.
