Kanye West's IMAX film "Jesus is King," which he previewed last month during a surprise engagement at the Fox Theater, hits Metro Detroit screens on Oct. 25.

Tickets are now on sale for showings of the film at AMC's Great Lakes 25 in Auburn Hills, AMC's Fairlane 21 in Dearborn, AMC's Livonia 20, AMC's Forum 30 in Sterling Heights and Cinemark's Ann Arbor 20 in Ypsilanti. The film will also show in theaters in Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Portage and Grand Blanc.

The film, which was shot over the summer and is directed by Nick Knight, will show for a limited one-week engagement exclusively in IMAX theaters. The film features performances of 13 songs arranged by West and performed by his Sunday Service choir, according to a release.

Shows begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Fairlane, Livonia and Ypsilanti theaters.

Tickets are available at JesusIsKing.IMAX.com.

West previewed the film during an engagement at the Fox Theatre on Sept. 27, an event that was announced just hours ahead of time, following his performance earlier that day at Detroit's Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre.
