Manilow making ‘One Last’ Palace stop
It’s a rite of passage for every performer, and now it’s Barry Manilow’s turn to mount a farewell tour.
The “Mandy” singer will bring his “One Last Time!” tour to the Palace of Auburn Hills Feb. 15, according to a tour announcement released Wednesday. Tickets, $19.75-$149.75, go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 5.
The tour is Manilow’s “way of thanking everyone for their years of support... one last time!” according to a tour release. It follows his latest album “My Dream Duets,” which is comprised entirely of duets with deceased performers, including Whitney Houston, Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland.
The Palace show is the fourth concert on Manilow’s 27-date outing that launches Feb. 11 in Omaha and wraps June 17 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
Locally, post-Valentine’s crowds have a tough decision to make: Chris Brown and Trey Songz are at Joe Louis Arena the same day.
