Kid Rock plays 'Tonight Show' Friday
U2's loss is Kid Rock's gain.
The "Son of Detroit" will perform on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" Friday night, filling in for U2, who dropped out of a week-long residency on the show after lead singer Bono was reportedly injured in a bicycle accident in New York City last weekend.
Rock is swooping in and will debut a song from his new album "First Kiss," according to a tweet from the singer's account on Friday.
"First Kiss" is due out Feb. 24.
