Alternative rock band Smashing Pumpkins and rock/metal god Marilyn Manson announced details of the group's co-headlining summer tour Tuesday.

"The End Times" tour kicks off on the West Coast in early July and will hit DTE Energy Music Theatre on Aug. 5.

While these bands rose to fame in the 1990s, they are both touring in support of new material. Released in January, Manson's "The Pale Emperor" is considered to be his most solid effort in some time. Out late last year, "Monuments to an Elegy" is the ninth studio album for Smashing Pumpkins, led by founder Billy Corgan.

Tickets for the Aug. 5 concert are $26 lawn and $25.50-$95.50 for pavilion and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Visit or for more information.
