Listen: Eminem freestyles about Clinton, Jenner, Cosby

Adam Graham
The Detroit News

Eminem jumped on the microphone and delivered a tongue-twisting freestyle during a visit to SiriusXM’s studios in New York on Thursday, dropping references to a laundry list of pop culture figures including Hilary Clinton, Donald Trump, Caitlyn Jenner and Bill Cosby.

The appearance, on Em’s station Shade 45’s “Sway in the Morning” program, was part of the press tour for “Southpaw.” Eminem recorded several songs for the film’s soundtrack, which will be released Friday through his record label, Shady Records.

The six-minute impromptu rap also included mentions of Miley Cyrus, Amanda Bynes, Cindy Crawford, Tiffani Amber Thiessen, Rita Ora, Janet Reno and Azealia Banks, among others.

Em and his manager Paul Rosenberg both said the verse was all in fun and in the spirit of freestyle rap — compounding syllables on top of one another to see what fits. (“I’m as off-pudding as Bill Cosby,” Em raps at one point.)

“I just say (expletive) to say it,” Em said. “It’s very rarely personal. If it was ever personal, somebody would know.”

Said Rosenberg, “It’s supposed to make your head spin around, that’s it.”

Take a listen to the freestyle below.
