Stevie Wonder bringing ‘Key of Life’ to Joe Louis Arena
Stevie Wonder is taking “Songs in the Key of Life” back out on the road this fall, including a Nov. 21 date at Joe Louis Arena, promoters announced Monday.
Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, with pre-sales beginning at noon Tuesday for Citi card holders. Prices are TBA.
The Joe Louis show is the second to last date of the 20-city outing, which kicks off Sept. 30 in Montreal and wraps Nov. 24 at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
The tour is a continuation of the last year’s successful run of shows where Wonder performed his classic 1976 album in its entirety. The tour visited the Palace of Auburn Hills on a snowy night in November 2014, a hometown show that had Wonder emotional and in tears at times, as he performed with some 40 musicians for more than three hours.
The fall tour will mark Wonder’s final live performances of “Songs in the Key of Life,” according to a tour release.
