Macklemore and Ryan Lewis set February date at Fox

Macklemore is driving his moped to the Fox Theatre.

The Seattle rapper and his beat-making partner, Ryan Lewis, will perform at the Fox on Feb. 2, promoters announced Monday.

Tickets for the show, $39.50, $55 and $75, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster, LiveNation.com, Olympia Entertainment box offices and by phone at (800) 745-3000.

One dollar from every ticket sale will benefit the organizations Equal Justice Initiative, Youth Speaks and the 30/30 Project.

The pair released the new single “Downtown” in August. The Broadway-style romp is equal parts “West Side Story” and old-school hip-hop, and finds Macklemore rapping about his affinity for mopeds.

“Downtown” is No. 15 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and has been streamed more than 43 million times on Spotify. The video has 35 million views on YouTube.

The duo’s still-untitled follow-up to 2012’s surprise smash “The Heist” is tentatively due out this fall, but no release date has been set.

The concert will be Macklemore and Lewis’ first area concert since a November 2013 performance at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
