R. Kelly postpones Joe Louis Arena show until June
Fans hungry for the singer’s ‘Buffet’ will have to wait just a little bit longer
R. Kelly has postponed his upcoming “Buffet Tour” date at Joe Louis Arena.
The R&B superstar was poised to perform at the Red Wings’ home on April 22 but has rescheduled the concert until June 24, venue officials announced Friday.
In a statement, Kelly reps said the postponement would allow the concert to unfold “as envisioned with the complete production and staging.”
Tickets will be honored at the newly announced date, and refunds are available at the point of purchase.
“The Buffet,” Kelly’s 13th solo album, was released in December and debuted at No. 16 on Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart.
In December, Kells rang in New Year’s Eve with a concert at Detroit’s Fox Theatre.
