The line up for the 37th annual Detroit Jazz Festival will be announced Tuesday at a luncheon at the Detroit Athletic Club.

Jazz guitarist and songwriter George Benson is expected to be one of the headliners, and Ron Carter will perform several times as the artist-in-residence.

It was announced last month that Roy Hargrove, Freddy Cole, Omar Sosa and a John Scofield trio with Brad Mehldau and Mark Guiliana will be part of the free festival, which takes place at Hart Plaza over Labor Day weekend.

The full list of performers will be released at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
