A weekly feature showcasing local artists

Name: Eleanora

Line up: Leah Elizabeth Dunstan, vocals, guitar and more; Julia Stephenson, vocals, guitar and more; Dan Clark, guitar; Ryan Roy, bass, and Erik Roosen, drums.

Sound: Band leaders Dunstan and Stephenson play unconventional instruments for an indie rock band — viola, violin, cello, clarinet and glockenspiel — which gives the band a “chamber rock” feel. The vibe is lush, interesting and emotional.

History: The band released the full length “Some Happy Accidents” in 2012 and will follow up with an EP this summer titled “Light the Whole Sky Up.”

Future: Eleanora plays a free, all ages show Thursday at the Loving Touch. Indie pop group, the Bruised Reed, is also on the bill. Doors open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 9 p.m., at The Loving Touch, 22634 Woodward, Ferndale.
