Kid Rock releases pro-Trump merchandise
‘Gods, Guns & Trump’ is just one of the slogans the singer is offering
Kid Rock, who hasn’t been shy about announcing his allegiance to the Republican Party, has announced a new line of pro-Trump merchandise.
Like with most things related to the “American Bad Ass” singer, the new stuff is dripping with attitude.
Monday on Twitter the Michigan-based musician revealed the additions to his online store, including a T-shirt that says “God Guns & Trump” and a red trucker cap with the phrase “Make American Bad Ass Again.”
Another shirt shows the electoral college map of the continental United States broken out into red and blue, depending on how each stated voted. A key on the shirts labels the red states as “United States of America” and the blue states as “Dumb(expletive)istan.”
A third T-shirt is hard to describe in a family newspaper. It aims to call out “haters” of President-elect Donald Trump in a vulgar way.
Rock said on Twitter that the merchandise ($24.99 for shirts, $19.99 for the hat) was made “due to overwhelming demand.”
In February, Rock, a native of Romeo, spoke candidly with Rolling Stone about his political leanings, saying that while he’s “not in bed with anybody” he was “digging Trump.” Rock also campaigned with Mitt Romney in 2012.
On the other end of the spectrum, another Michigan band, the White Stripes released an anti-Trump shirt in October. Jack White’s Third Man Records is still selling the Icky Trump shirt, named after the White Stripes’ 2007 song “Icky Thump.” The Third Man shop also says that “increasing demand” may cause shipping delays.
