Carl Cox, Belleville Three head up Movement lineup
First phase of artists for May’s Movement festival includes 70 acts
British house and techno producer Carl Cox will headline May’s Movement Festival, organizers announced Thursday.
Cox, who last played the fest in 2014, heads up a list of 70 artists organizers unveiled Thursday. Also on the list: The Belleville Three — Detroit techno pioneers Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May — performing together at the festival for the first time; Detroit rapper Danny Brown; Los Angeles rapper Earl Sweatshirt; Carl Craig; Stacey Pullen and more.
The festival will unfold May 27-29 at Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit. Three-day festival passes are available for $155 for general admission, $300 for VIP and $399 for limited edition “Club 313” VIP through the festival’s website, movement.us.
The lineup’s second phase of artists will be announced at a later date.
