Artist Spotlight: Suburban Delinquents

Suburban Delinquents will play Saturday at the Loving Touch in Ferndale.

Name:  Suburban Delinquents

Line up:  John Counts, guitar and vocals; Howie Campbell, bass and vocals; Steven Toth, guitar and vocals; Brian Galindo, drums.

Sound: Poppy punk influenced by classic punk and hardcore bands from the 1980s and 1990s.

Scene history:  Suburban Delinquents have been around since 1994. Since then, the members have formed or played in many other local punk bands, including the Dewtons and Few and Far Between.

Next:  The Livonia-based group will celebrate the release of their new EP “Dead and Gone” with a show Saturday at Loving Touch, 22634 Woodward in Ferndale. Doors open at 8 p.m. and cover charge is $7. To help make the event a bigger party, Break Anchor, St. Thomas Boys Academy, Flamingo Nosebleed and Cheapshow also are on the bill.
