Eminem on NRA: ‘They love guns more than our children’
Detroit rapper spoke out at Sunday’s IHeartRadio Music Awards, was introduced to stage by Parkland shooting survivor
Eminem had some pointed words for the National Rifle Association during his performance at Sunday’s IHeartRadio Music Awards.
The Detroit rapper tacked on a new verse at the front end of “Nowhere Fast,” his joint single with Kehlani.
“This whole country is going nuts/ and the NRA is in our way/ they’re responsible for this whole production/ they hold the strings, they control the puppet,” Em rapped.
He continued, “Gun owners clutching their loaded weapons/ they love their guns more than our children.”
Eminem was introduced to the stage by fellow Detroit rapper Big Sean, who was joined by Alex Moscou, one of the survivors of the recent high school shooting in Parkland, Florida.
“We’re tired of hearing politicians send their thoughts and prayers to us, and doing nothing to make the necessary changes to prevent this tragedy from happening again,” Moscou said.
The IHeartRadio Music Awards were held in Inglewood, California.
