Last month MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer announced he would embark on a 50th anniversary tour for the Michigan band’s influential album “Kick Out the Jams.”

The band is billed as MC50, and along with Kramer the line up includes Kim Thayil of Soundgarden, Brendan Canty of Fugazi, Dug Pinnick of King’s X and Marcus Durant of Zen Guerrilla.

The band ends the North American run of dates at the Fillmore Detroit on Oct. 27. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Tuesday, Live Nation announced a second Detroit show would be Oct. 26 at Saint Andrew’s Hall, which is less than half the size of Fillmore Detroit. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com. A VIP pre-sale starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday, and a Live Nation mobile app pre-sale starts 10 a.m. Thursday.

Kramer will also release a memoir, “The Hard Stuff: Dope, Crime, the MC5, and My Life of Impossibilities,” on Aug. 14.
